Any one ever done this? My drum took a crap on my auger theres a small gear that needs pulled off of the shaft to replace it. any info is greatly appreciated.

The pinion gear is threaded on with standard threads. A tip that was given to me by a strikmaster mechanic was to find a socket that will fit over the gear, hold the clutch drum with a gloved hand, and hit it with an impact gun. Mine spun right off, no sweat.
good luck.

I know this is a long shot, but is it regular thread or reverse thread? I need to remove as well
