Title: new to icefishing

just started ice fishing a couple years ago and am getting hooked. I have been reading the posts on this site alot. I hope everyone has a safe season and hope I may be able to share some of my fishing experiences with you. good fishing and stay safe.

Welcome aboard, it’s an interesting forum for sure lol. Ice fishing is a ton of fun, especially if you jig instead if only setting traps lol.

Welcome to the addiction!  It's a great outdoor endeavor and here on the Shanty is a great place to learn a tip or two.  Tight lines!

No offense ment  :P I started with traps too and still use set lines.  I just realized really quick that I hate hand lineing the fish (without a rod, as I love fly fishing), so switched to ice riggers to set jig rods when I feel the need to. Just have to keep the ice clear in the hole with the rod setups though.

slo-goin  Get your self a good Flasher . I have as much fun watching the screen as I do pulling them in . You can tell how many and how deep right off  saves a lot of guess work.
