Hit Sandy Pond yesterday with my friend Rob and his 2 boys, fishing was terrible. 4 barely keeper perch and 2 23 inch pike. Walked out on glare ice, then the wall of snow collided with us. Total white out for 3 hours. The drag back in was hell, thank God for the 2 boys. 12 inches of fresh powder over glare ice makes for terrible dragging. At least a foot of ice. Gonna try and pickle the pike

No clue, but we walked off with a young man named Ryan who lives right on Renshaw Bay and he said the big perch just never showed up this year. Should have taken my buddy up on his invite to Chamont. His old man bought a camp on 3 mile point. 2 guys did 175 perch over 10 yesterday.... Good news is I have permission to park there anytime I want

Got out with some buds today , perch were finicky but I manage 24 good ones plus a couple eyes , I left early to plow snow got a foot overnight
Weather was much better today

we have very few lake trout down here, but plenty of other trout
caught a bunch of these trout yesterday...beautiful day on the ice

a week or two ago I caught this heavily spotted trout I posted on another forum ...I had to release it.... "to cool to kill"

Ice John the ice had very little to no snow ,
