Hey you Iowa people!!  Any ice out there yet??  Thought I'd stick something in the Iowa section as its a little slow out there.  Give a report of the first sighted skim Ice you see pond or lake.  I just got the itch.

Won't be long now till there's frost on the windshield then ice on the lake.
The crappies have been averaging 9 1/2 inches here this year. Took my heaviest average of the year last weekend. Only 11 fish but all between 10 and 12 inches. I hate the cold weather but if I get the time to build my home away from home it'll be a sweet winter.

 Welcome Redman.

Yup, he sure is...just sent my entry form in earlier this week!  If you go to his site there is a post about it on the front page.  Or, drop him an email and ask him to send you an entry form.  I know he also has some entry forms at the Shuck's if you are over that direction.

Emailed Ryan and he is sending me the registration form.  All his rooms are filled though. That was a bummer. Will have to look at something else. Maybe we will just drive up for the day too.

I'm assuming Ryan is having the mandetory rules meeting on Saturday night, so it may be in your best interest to find a place to stay otherwise you will be driving up twice.

Alright, I think I have a plan.  I can stay at a  Holiday Inn Express and maybe it will make me a better fisherman. Then I would have a chance at least.

Don't look now, but you're already there.  Compare the inside of your shack with the inside of mine.  Yours has a plywwod floor and compartments for everything.  Mine has a pile of ice-fishing gear.  Maybe YOU'RE the original Munchy??  Goody, you're my HERO!!!  LOL!

Mr. Pot this is Mr. Kettle.  Don't look now, but you're black.   :o

Anybody gonna fish the Brainerd tourney this year?  trying to get a group together to go up for 4-5 days.  The tourney is January 26th.  Its a good time, some of us went last year and had a blast.
