I usually get the cookie cutter reply of "I ain't standing out there freezing my @$$ off", that is when I walk away or simply laugh at their ignorance.

The very few who have expressed interest now all ice fish.

IMO it is a sport that you have to experience to understand, then it either clicks as a passion or it doesn't. The closest thing I can relate it to is riding a motorcycle.
