Candle Lake or close by?
« on: Jan 20, 2021, 01:51 PM »
Hey everybody,
We're heading up to Candle in mid-February & I'm looking for some tips on where to try.
I've fished Candle a few times in the winter & never really caught much of anything.
Any thoughts on where to try at Candle or close by (within a 1hr drive)?
I've heard of a few guys trying Zeden for Perch or maybe Ispuchaw?
We've already been out & enjoyed fishing this winter at Blackstrap & Broderick, & I'm hoping to try Iroquois in the next couple of weeks.
I drive past all these other lakes in the Spring on my way to Jan & always wondered what they're like in the winter.
Suggestions?

Heritage would be worth a shot.

a lot of options. depends on how easy of access you require and what you want to target.

I'm looking for drive-on (if possible), & primarily going for Walleye, Pike, or Perch

Pike and walleye with fairly easy access  Heritage, Pinkney, Summit and Ispuchaw. Limited choices for perch in area and they will be small, are Zeden and Mitten.
Lower Fishing may be another option.
