Another half day...

Caught a few fish. Billy stole the show though... flags all day and fish in the double digits. (On top of showing up a little late and getting his holes drilled for him  :P.)  No pic's of Big Ed's fish as he always seems to drill his holes out in Manitoba, lol.

Meeeeeeeeeow.

There was a couple of these coarkers.

Hey Shortseason here,
Nice mix of fish, Good job!! I fished stumps, very slow in the am with a very good jig bite later in the noon. I was blaming the High pressure for the slow bite(day after the storm theory ya know). I had my big baits out for the pike and a good mix of shiners for the other stuff. Did anyone else experience similar results???

Thanks Jimmy, I appreciate the info.

I was using what that page calls a slip lead rig. I call it a bolt rig.

If I choose to set a couple of traps with a rig like again that I think I am going to fix the lead in place though. I just hate doing that because if you break off the fish then the poor thing winds up dragging around your lead indefinently. (And likely dieing) I don't think it would be as much of a problem through the ice vs open water, but the snags are still there.
