Inland trout lakes
« on: Feb 03, 2022, 10:05 AM »
Hello.  We will be up for our annual buddy fishing trip the third week of February and are very excited to try something different as we typically target walleye in the Curtis area.  Anywho I have done some research online and have ran into some limited information about inland trout lakes near Curtis.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  We have sleds and a willingness to trek in.  We have found Camp 8, peanut, and a few other lakes that allow winter fishing.  I might add we are not looking to harvest fish, just a new adventure.  Any suggestions or tips to head us in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks again.

In my experience in the western UP, many of the inland trout lakes are not accessible without a snowmobile. Not sure how it is on the eastern end.
