boysen info
« on: Jan 12, 2008, 11:37 PM »
Hello,
First off, I am brand new to this site.  What a great resource!  Now down to business.  Me and a bunch of friends have been going down to Boysen every year for 5 or 6 years.  We tend to fish around the tough creek area.  We started out 6 years ago catching walleye and perch. Lately it seems we are only catching perch, trout, and ling.  We fish deep out over the sticks during the day and move in at night for ling.(and hopefully a big walleye)  We are planning on heading down their next weekend.(Jan 19,20, and 21).  We have been fishing with tip ups, and then jigging once we find the fish.  The last few years we have been running around trying to find minnows.  Does the guy on the east side of Shoshone have them this year?  Also how's the ice around tough creek?  Any additional hints on finding and catching perch or walleye would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks a lot!   :icefish:

Bought some minnows at rocky mountain the last time I went out (kind of strapped for time), they were small, very small. :-[

Cool, I think the camper would make some good structure.  When it goes down give me the gps location!
Nah, it's thick enough.  Good luck with the tourney, I'll be working.  I'll be there this Sat coming up. Later KR

There was 15 to 18" of ice off of Badwater on Friday last with a full size diesel pickup driving the length and width for what seemed to be no apparent reason.  Should be good enough, but then again... ;D

If anybody is around South Muddy Friday nite thru late Sat stop by and say "Howdy".  Coffee is always on.  I'll have the 5th wheeler out there on the EDGE of the ice.  I also drive a 95 F-250 teal/white. Later KR
