Fish out of water in Jackson....

Transferred to Jackson from Colorado and ready to hit the ice but I'm not convinced Jackson is big on hardwater.  I've been trying to keep on eye on the posts but dont know the state well enough to know the northwest lakes.  Haven't even found a local bait shop.

Wife is pregnant and I MUST GO FISHING THIS SATURDAY.  She is going to IF for Christmas shopping, once she gets back I may be forced to drink egg nog and listen to Dolly sing "Hard Candy Christmas" for the next two weeks.

Please help a brother out............

jackson lake should be freezing soon, but i don't think it will be ready this weekend.  it was wide open three days ago when we drove through there.  welcome to the site, and to wyoming

OOooooooow!!!! The Shanty is rockin' now! Aaaaah...I just got back into town and haven't had a chance to talk to Leon, but last I heard, that puppy was out past the island  so there out to be some fishable depths out there on that east side toward the sandy beach. I'm thinking Half Moon might be solid by now too. :tipup: ;D

Half Moon had no ice just a few days ago.  It is slow this year.  I looked in my fish journal and I fished it fo rthe first time on Dec 23 last year with 4" of good ice.
