Boulder Lake ice

Leon says Boulder has iced over to the island and should be safe to fish in several days...open water beyond that is productive for macs.  ;D

That's good to hear, I went by Fontenelle and there was ice just on the inlet to the causeway.  That is usually the first lake to freeze up.  Sure is slow.

went to boulder yesterday and the only ice was on the dam side of the lake, in the shallow section.  we fished it, but only came up with weeds, so we laft to wait for the deeper water to ice over.  we saw some nick buck mulies in the desert, though.

Went by Fontenelle today and it has ice on only 1/3 or less of the lake and the ice looks bad with cracks and water standing on top.  Very unusual for this cold lake, should be fishable before now.
