1st Time on Ice This Season
« on: Nov 12, 2018, 07:36 PM »
Took quite the hike to get there, but it was worth it every minute. Glad to see colder weather and some lakes freezing sooner comparing to last year.

I love Colorado :)

Well done I love that lake but the wind can be a real B.  Beautiful scenery & fish.  I had a great day there on 10/21,  went back on 11/3 and the wind opened the shorlines back up  ??? ???  long ride that morning but at least the Tacoma made it to the lake.  Two quick questions - did you have chains on that vehicle, and/or air down the tires?  Always a battle between the cold locking up the lake and the snow making it impassible.

Done with elk for the year, what other lakes are safe to fish? I was just up 14 two weekends ago and there was no ice anywhere

I took a even steeper hike for 6-8 inch tigers and brookes the other day. Always worth to me to enjoy the nature and put in a work out. :p

I have reports from sources and friends that live out that Tarryall, Antero, Cottonwood and Clear Creek reservoir is almost ready. In addition to Fall River Reservoir and St. Mary's GLacier which I know is ready as well.

The new iphone 10x is a sick phone. It shoots in 4K at a fast 60fps, so it has TV like quality I think I will buy a gimbal soon so it's not too shaky.
