I looked over what the website. It looks way, way, way more detailed than navionics. I couldn’t find a smartphone app. I’m interested in using it on the ice and do not what to bring two units with me or buy a new one just to use genesis. Any suggestions?

I’ve got a Lowrance elite7. I suppose one could build a little mobile GPS and pack two units onto the ice. I have been trying to downsize the past couple of years and that would be quite a bit more weight in the sled.

Re Navionics---I was fishing yesterday in 50-60 ft of water. Navionics was out by 6-7 ft compared to my FF. I just checked 2 locations.

6-7 ft both times? You can adjust the pool level.

Glad to see some of you are opening your minds about the ease of use and usefulness of the Genesis maping. We all win from this and guess what its free. All we have to do is work together...

Cheers!

It appears that navionics was just bought by garmin.  They have a new app for phones and they have been pressuring me to upgrade. I did and lost three years worth of data with all my honey holes. They said data would be transferred but it wasn’t. Transcribe coordinates before you upgrade or you might loose your stuff too.

I figured your ears would be ringing!!!

Lingeater same here. I didn’t had many spots marked on my navionics, but the ones I did were because I found these spots on lakes without a map. So that was a real bummer to lose.

Navionics has a new iPhone app or garmin has a new app? I have the most recent navionics boating app.
