I’ve heard that some have modified an 8” cold snap cover for a 7” lazer hand auger? Has anyone done this? Pics? Thanks!
They don't specifically make a 7" laser cover. However, last year I had seen them for sale, so I contacted Cold Snap directly when I didn't find them on their website. The owner himself responded, and told me that they modify their 8" cover to work with the 7". I ordered one and it works great!
They basically just cut the inside edges of the cover at an angle so that the two pieces can close together a little bit more, pretty straightforward.

ETA - Looking more closely, the cover is modified on both sides for each half. Both sides appear to have a wedge trimmed off, about 1/2" wide at the top, to near nothing at the hinge. HTH.
