Seriously this time, when we have a group outing we usually bring a big 'ol roast, carrots, taters and onions. Put it in the roaster in the morning with a package of dry onion soup mix sprinkled on top. Let it go all day while we fish. nice to have a good hot supper waiting when you get back. Strain off the juice, mix a slurry of flour and warm water to thicken into gravy. YUM.

Look into some roaster/crock pot recipes would be my first call.  Also lots of pretzel rods, no body really likes pretzel rods but they will curb the appetite and every body always eats them, lol :P.  A pallet of fine American light beer.  Have a blast. Enjoy the time away from it all.

chili with corn chips, oinions and cheese maybe, some sour cream
.
burritos - breakfast with egg, sausage, cheese, taters, etc         good ol beef and bean
.
pulled pork with some good onion buns or wheat bread toasted
.
beef stew and biskets
.
hot sauce or salsa
.
nachos with cheese sauce and maybe some deer burger
.
''doctored'' baked beans with onions, BBQ sauce and extra meat like sausage, burger or some of the left over pulled pork dumped in
.
pre cooked taters that can be warmed up like home fries with ham and eggs
.
corned beef or roast beef hash with eggs and toast
.
most any of the above can be cooked to almost done at home, frozen in gallon zip bags and taken with you.  warmed when ready.

Being on the 'husky' side I second the sweets.  Also some canned spam diced up w/ scrambled eggs and hasbrowns makes a wicked good breakfast hash!!!! Spicey bloody mary mix to make red beer!!!  Also a must!!

fillet and wash well.
dip in a mixture of raw scrambled eggs with a touch of water, milk or beer. allow the excess to drip off for a second.
coat well in crushed cheetos that are in a gallon zip bag.
fry fillets in 1/4 bacon grease and 3/4 oil that is just shimmering in the cast iron fry pan but, not so hot to smoke.
serve with hot sauce or ? ? ? ?
.
makes good fish sandwiches the next day

Allagash trout

Cut laker fillets into 2" cubes
drop into heavily salted water thats at a rolling boil for 4 to 6 minutes
Drain on paper or in colinder and serve with Drawn Butter !!

The quick boil removes the excess oil for the meat and you will be hard pressed to tell the difference between Allagash Laker and Lobster !!

Don't forget to invite your cardiologist along. Make sure he packs the AED.

Why don't you pack some vegetables this year boozie?  It's going to be a long trek out when your gout acts up.
Lightly dusted pike, salt and pepper, fried in vegetable oil and butter along with sliced parboiled spuds.  Side beans and fresh lemon juice.  Damn I wish i was going too.  Make sure you bring something back for the smoker too.

Good luck
