Pre mixed can fuel?
« on: Mar 29, 2019, 06:09 PM »
Wanted to get something like true fuel but Walmart didn’t have any. They only had “SEF multi mix pre mixed gas” the can says 40:1/50:1 and I’m not sure I trust it because they’re not the same ratio? Anyone ever use this stuff?

There are several brands doing the same thing.  Even VP racing fuel offers a 40:1/50:1 canned premix.  These fuels have synthetic oil which offers lubricity which is better than a tradition 2 cycle oil.  The fuel will work with either ratio

  • Rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6.

Its probably 3 ounces of fuel per gallon right between the 2.
My old jiffy is picky on the mix. 24:1 I use a ratio right cup to measure.
Already pre mixed oil with non ethanol gas, I wished I would of thought of that idea.
Easy way for most people to get the right fuel and mix without messing around.
Great idea.

Home Depot used to carry the True Fuel, that's where I always got it. And Ace now carries the Stihl equivalent.

I've ran 40:1 TruFuel in my Strikemaster Solo ever since I've had it. I've never had a problem with the engine and have never done anything special to store it. It lives in the basement in the summer and starts up no problem every Thanksgiving week.

Same here, I'm on season 4 with mine, never ran anything but the premixed fuel, different brands, whatever was on sale. The bottles are nice too, you can just throw them in a bucket to bring some extra fuel along, never had one leak.
