Who fished the King today?

This has been a great thread in years past, so I thought I'd start one early.  I haven't yet, but I'm hoping to by Saturday.

As or right now:
Dunham's Bay: frozen around the point to Dark Bay
Million $: Good areas of ice with big open spots mostly along the West shore, ice goes up the lake a way
Harris/Warner: frozen at least to South end of Long Island, didn't drive around but could see ice
Basin Bay: about 2/3 ice
Huddle Bay: ice out to the islands
Sawmill Bay(Veteran's Park): ice out to end of Green Island

Wind was picking up and there are white caps on the main lake.

Wander, Pretty funny that PerchMD says "It's just a waiting game now" and you reply in the next post that you're going tomorrow.  Have a great time.  Let us know how you make out.

I was checking it out yesterday  on the south end. Only bay that had any ice was Harris-and that looked scary. Anybody know how things are further north?

I'm heading out in about 15 min. to fish on the only spot that has enough ice to be on. I'll get back to you all later to let you know how we make out.

Well I got out on the ice today there was 3" of blcak ice, well anyway inthe 1st half hour of fishing I caught 15 Perch. I thought it was going to be a good but the fish just shut off, I threw everything I had in my tackle box but I couldn't buy a fish. We moved all around, we marked on the Marcum but no bites. I guess it could have been the weather front.

Nice job Wanderer.  That's fishing.  I've had the same thing happen more than once.  I prefer the afternoon bite where you were fishing.  Must've felt good to get out there and not break the ice on your LG season.   ;D
