Rocky Mountain Perch
« on: Dec 16, 2019, 12:25 PM »

Got a few fatties yesterday.  This one measured 11.5".  Great eating size!  Thought I'd experiment with different photo techniques this year.  This was "portrait mode" on my iPhone. Post-processing using Camera+.

Photo looks pretty good. Everything is sharp, can pick up the snow texture. And the colors on the perch are bright but natural. Nice.
Any day on the ice with little to no wind, is a darn good day.

Thanks!  I wish I would have turned it a bit more to the sun.  I think it’s a little shadowy.

But you gotta remember if you get to much sunlight it will wash out the colors. I think the colors turned out good being in somewhat of a shadow. To me it makes the colors deeper.

Good point.  Plus it's really cool when the sun is shining through the fins!  I just noticed that.   ;D
