Smelt on tip ups. This year is the first time I've ever been out and got skunked though. Not sure whats going on. I talked with a guy that lives there and has been out almost every day since it froze and he said its one of the slowest years he has experienced. I did hear they may be hanging deeper than normal for whatever reason. Good luck!

The power of the internet to "slow down" a fishery... :-\
Reminds me of some "locals" I heard complaing about not catching any big fish this year after they bonked every fish that came through the ice last year. Keeping sleds full of fish has that effect...

Reminds me of giving a guy an accurate report based on your experiences thus far this year. I suppose one could B.S. a guy though and feed them stories of unicorns and rainbows (no pun intended). A bit presumptuous to blame some slow fishing on people keeping their limit of fish.

I think these lakes take more punishment from open water fishing than ice fishing.  I do see a lot of dead pike on the ice though, sad to see such a waste.

Especially if the internet lets more people get their limits.
I guess I could be talking out my a$$ if i haven't seen it happen  more than "once".
Maybe the fish aren't biting.
Maybe when the conditions are perfect, the fish that aren't there will start to bite.

Plenty of pike in Church, they just see far more pressure than any of the other sloughs due to lack of access as near as I can tell.
