Title: Bait shops in NW RI

Friends,
Bait is available at Big Bear RT 44 Harmony(Glocester), Creature Plus RT 102 Victory Hwy North Smithfield (across from Gators) and Teds Bait Shop (perhaps) Reservoir Rd Pascoag RI. Call ahead for hours.

Good to know. Pete's in woonsocket has plenty of bait too. He's got frozen herring right now too

They are good to use for pike. Need to thaw them out first. That being said, not many pike left down here  :P

Hey new guy here. Just wanna throw in that Runnings on rt 44 in putnam CT Sells shiners also i haven't bought any this season yet but they were decent and cheap like 6$  a doz but they were all different sizes mostly hvy med and large. Ill update after get my bait this week

Makes sense. Thanks for the response! I've been catching some nice ones in western, mass. Bit of a drive, but worth it

Yeah it makes for slower fishing vs. using live shiners but usually dead baits attract the bigger ones. And I have too actually. Some places out there have been blown up/ hit hard over the years but theres still some hidden gems too

I've had good luck with Runnings Bait last season. Haven't bought a shiner this year but...

Bob's Bait and tackle in Dayville is open early and has shiners as well. Not RI but right over the line.

Has anyone been to Runnings in Putnam during this ice season? I have a summer camp near there and would often go for bait. During the fall, something happened to their filter system (or they just stopped cleaning it), as the water always stunk and the tanks were always full of dead fish. I actually stopped going there. Just wondering if they have fixed the issue?

I'm literally 5 minutes from that Runnings If I get a chance I'll take a run over and update. Been getting bait at Bobs down in Dayville Ct. Has had a great stock and plenty of it. open at 7 a.m.

Didn't go over but did give them a ring... Bait tank is up and fully operational. HOWEVER they are out of Shiners will have more on Friday

as of 12:25 Today the bait truck had not shown up at Runnings yet. Got my shiners at Bobs Bait and Tackle in Ballouville Ct . (no, I do not own stock in Bobs's) ;D
