I just received my order, I got a selection of 4-5 different colours/sizes and as soon as we have some ice I will give them a try and let you know.

I've tied up and used jigs similar to this for years and they do work, but usually need a spike or something for bait to work best.  I tie a white one that glows green and it's a bluegill slayer, but again, probably need bait to work best.

My bud caught a big laker on one last year. I had no luck on mine. I know others have caught lakers as well. We don't fish perch, which they are supposed to be for

I have used the Simcoe bug on Yellow Perch on Lake Simcoe and they work great.  The color that works best for me, is Yellow body, and red accents.  I have never use live bait on it.  A fish catcher for sure.

Tie one on the bottom and another about 8-10 inches up.  Lower to the bottom and gently jiggle it with about 1 inch lift at a time, no crazy ripping needed.
