What species does Messenger lake have
« on: Feb 07, 2008, 06:35 PM »
I'm thinking of comming north Saturday and was wondering what kinds of fish Messenger has. I have read in the sportsman connection that it is predominantly a crappie lake but was wondering if there is a good perch population as well?

Also,is Coldwater fishable at Indian point or is it unsafe?
Never tell a fish where its supposed to be

Besides crappie, Messenger has 'gills, pike, bass.  I caught a 20" dogfish out of there years ago - on a cane pole!!

Don't recall any perch out of there.

After all the rain and warm weather, I'm not sure there is much ice that is safe.
