Anyone planing on going to TUT this year?  With the weather we are supposed to be having (crosses fingers) there might be too much ice for boats, but not enough for walking by the second weekend of TUT.

Don't see anyone catching Wally this year...   ;D

According to the local paper they are going ahead with it no matter what.

‘Full steam ahead’ for Tip-up Town; Festival a go - snow or no

We go every year...and we have run into quite a few Shanty members there. The kids love it and I have a great collection of the banks.

If you catch him you have a "chance" at $25,000.  You have to pick an envelope.  One of them is worth $25,000.  Good luck.
I enjoy that perfect peace -- that peace beyond all understanding, which comes at it's maximum, only to the man who has given up golf.

Yeah guys "Wally" is worth 1 chance out of a hundred for 25,000 the other 99 envelopes hold 1000, still not anything to sneeze at.

yup. its better to have only have show up and have nothing better to do then party..then to have nobody come because it got cancelled...you never know when its gonna be perfect and alot of people plan vacations around the origional date.

The temperature is dropping, the lake is freezing and Tip-Up Town USA is happening the last two weekends of January. Don't miss it! The theme this year is 'Cartoons' so watch out for some creative floats in the Parade and our new mascot 'Tip'. TUT is still great value at just $5 for the TUT Badge! Mark your calendars for January 19th-21st and 27th/28th.

Is there a better weekend to go? The first weekend or second? This year my only option is for the first weekend, but for future reference which is better?

Usually the second weekend is when they have the PolarBear Dip, lots of fun to WATCH, (im not doing that myself) LOL.

There's a great spot for pike right in front of TUT...but you have to fish it early before the sleds get going.

Same for me...nothing larger that two feet. But I get to fish while the kids play and it's close.
