Tipton Area this weekend

I'm driving to the Tipton area this weekend from upstate NY to fish with some friends.  Should we be able to ice fish this weekend, or should we bring open water equipment?  We fished Wamplers and Evans lake last year.  Thanks for the information.

You will probably have 24 inches of ice this weekend out on the lakes around Tipton..... plenty of ice still and temps should be around 40 degrees for a high...

there is plenty of ice, but keep an eye out on the edges they are getting soft with these warmer temps. the bite has been very poor around here lately hopefully it picks up by this weekend
