See that fish 3rd in from right. Well its 9 lbs 8oz. The icefishing guru in the middle decides he needs to cut the tails off to bleed them out and it aparently makes them tender? The fish was 33 and a bit inches. Fish-slayer decided to not submit a fish with the tail chopped off even thought it would have placed 2nd without tail. He feels we will easily pull a 40 incher out of this lake.
7lber fish are the average in this lake ;D A local at the lake cruised by on snowmobile and looked at our fish. He said pointing to the biggest "nice little one". He then explained he caught a 28 lber 3 yrs ago there, and just over 20lbs was the biggest he landed last year. Wonder if he is BSing? Time will tell. Don't think he cared to hear the record was about 24 lbs.
