burbot-ling-whatever, how do u catch ummm

i tried ling and they are tasty how do u catch them , what do u use and how to clean them

read  threw this ealpout forume.  lots on info.  also search gutting ling on youtube and i think there are a few videos on how to clean them.

We use big live minnows , or big dead ones the bigger the minnow the bigger the bubot. I find live minnows right on the bottom works best . And also seem to get more after dark . As far as cleaning them I fellet them out.

I always catch them on herring left on the bottom. Of course fishing at night in the shallows.
Our regs here where I live in Alaska allow lines to be left out all night so long as they rest on the bottom
and the hook gap is greater than 3/4"
As for the cleaning I skin them like a catfish. Use skinning pliers and just pull the skin off then fillet.
