Hi I am in desperate need of some tips from more experienced fisherman because for the past week i have been trying to fish some Burbot in a local lake, and they havent been biting very well so i am asking for tips on where to fish or wat to use or even jigging patterns

My Mom says I'm better than all of you.

check all the other tips left here...if your fishing at night, jigging glow tipped with bait, you might try a different area.

The lake he is fishing in has some decent burbot. You just gotta use the right bait ;)
Definately lots of good tips in this section ;)

If your  can use live bait it works great for us .I fined the bigger the minnow the bigger the burbot . I  have used minnows up to 8 inches . We also chum . put down fish guts , and other meat . just to keep them around or draw them in
hook and cook

Burbut Buster is a good burbot fisherman, he just gets discouraged when its slow going.  :-\   He really looks up to you TGF and respects your fishing abilities.             And we are all grateful for your help.    He is in a cold cycle right now,  things will pick up, the later we get into the winter,  . and if it doesnt......    I'll beat him    Ha  Ha  Ha.      Pop has to teach the kid a thing or two,   I did catch one bigger than the one in his Avitar.          ;D

Ise de by who catches the fish...and takes em home to Liza.

Unfortunately here in BC we can't chum what so ever or use fish parts for bait ??? We can set line (one only) here using headless fin fish but we can't use fish parts for jigging ???

Keven will catch bigger when next month rolls around. Definately fishing teaches you patience.
We will slay some together in some of the lakes you mentioned ;)

If legal there try tipping your jigs with this.

1" X 6'" strips of pork liver.
Soak in cod liver oil and pickling salt over night.
Glow in the dark jig head and add a stinger hook near the far end of the liver.

Living proof that "beer builds better bellies"

I've tried beef, moose, and deer liver but never pork liver. Thx for the tip Woodsmam.
I found squid to work well to.

I use squid as well. Seems to stick to the hook well....sometimes I wonder if it effects my "hook up" percentage though..
