Hey guys, I live in Rochester, Mn southeast area of Minnesota. I'm looking to find out where is the closest place i can find me some burbot for the up coming season. Never caught me one or seen one in person and heard that they are pretty darn tasty. Please let me know where i can find me some, thanks.

I know there are a bunch of lakes north of you like lake of the woods and rainy but thats a ways for you but I know they are up there. People claim that its poor mans lobster but I have never had it. good luck with your search!!

The closest for you is probably Mille Lacs.
It's an OK burbot lake, but not a great one.
If you're willing to go just a little further; Winnie, Cass, Big Sandy are probably all better than Millie.
It ya want to travel, Lake of The Woods is the great burbot lake in the state.
Have YOU Clamped YET ?
