Jigging for Pike
« on: Mar 02, 2009, 06:41 AM »
I just recently caught a northern jigging with a small crappie minnow and a jig. What are some of your jigging methods that you use to get northerns? Thanks

i like to have a nice heavy jig head on and bang it off bottom for a while then bring to the middle of the water column then jig it with an odd aggressive jig but for the most part keep it to small movement

Large jigging rap is my go to bait.
After that,  I use a buckshot rattle spoon, and then bucktail airplane jigs.

Hope this helps,

Wiener
