Hydrographic Map
« on: Feb 07, 2013, 07:50 PM »
I was looking for a hydrographic map (depth chart) of Crooked Lake in the Qu'appelle valley. Has anyone got one? If so where did you get it?

Hydrographics is the art of dipping items in paint that floats on water... If you need some hydrographics done, PM me, I can do that...

More than likely what your looking for is a bathymetric map... best chance is here unless you have navionics.

Hey fishbrain we have found pike, tulibee, burbot but it seems the perch and walleye are hiding. over the past six or seven trips and over 100 fish caught and released, we caught 3 walleye and 2 perch!!!  We usually fish in 20 feet of water so im guessing perch and walleye are 30+ ft.

All the locals in Grenfell say there are no burbot in Crooked.  lol  Maybe I should not be hitting grenfell beach?  Right now I am more interested in finding any other species, for me and the kids, lol.

Can someone tell me where I could find walk on locations for Pasqua, thinking of hitting it on Sat. (tomorrow)  Yet I would be willing to go anywhere a minivan can make it.
Sucks being new to a province sometimes!!

there are burbot in crooked. catch them almost everytime we go out. they will hit a jigging spoon w/minnow usually near the bottom. catch more closer to evening.

We have had a hard time finding perch at Crooked also! 4 so far this season!(and 2 in the bellies of big Pike!) As far as Burbot go....there are lots and they are all over! Caught a nice one (5lbs) on the weekend suspended in 15 feet of water! Literally chased my lure up from the bottom and hit it right below the ice! We release them when we catch though! If you want them...they are there! Just fish the whole water column...not just the bottom! They are weirding out this season! Will be out at the Sugar Shack on Crooked this weekend!  Happy fishing! ;D

Settled!
My daughter and I are going to head down on Sat.  Setup at Indian point.
Probably walking on.  I have a black, SubZero tent, and an Orange calf sled for gear.
If I drive on, I will have a Dodge minivan with yellow decals and a Pug (dog) on it.
If you see me please come and say hello.
Heading down in the morning and will make a day of it.

Hope to meet some of you there.

Hey Fishbrain! Double check the access at Indian point before you try and drive on....it drifted pretty bad and it is DEEP! Hoping that some weekday fishers may have packed it down some! We are in the Sugar Shack! Will look for you tomorrow! BE SAFE!!!  :)
