I have this unit and converted it for ice. Bought the only ice transducer they make for it. Unfortunately they do not have my lake preloaded. So i was wondering what would be the best map chip to install for the Midwest. What works best for this unit?

Have you checked for a custom made map at genesis insight? If there is one you could download it to a SD card and add it to your unit.
