Prayers Needed(Updated 1-16-2009)

Terry James,a fishermen from the Anderson area that a few of us locals know as the Bluegill King on Mt Summit,was seen at 9 AM this morning straight across from the main boat ramp in the water,a friend I know from Connersville(Mark) was at the restroom changing clothes when he spotted him and called 911,I stayed on the phone with Mark for 10-15 minutes as Terry was still fighting to get out,DNR finally arrived in wet suits and they comminced to fallin through themselves,the way I understood it was he was in the water well over 30 minutes,please take a minute to give this man a prayer,

Just talked to the Lady at the main office at Summit and she said the last she heard is that he was alive but hasnt heard nothing since,thanx for the prayers you guys

My prayers go out to this man and his family. Now that were getting into the middle of January let not get complacid of ice conditions, make sure to check conditions always and often when walking out to your favorite fishing spot. I know we get a lot of updated information on ice conditions here on the shanty, but please always check for yourselver. Your families are depending on it. Be safe everyone and Godbless....

Just got a little shudder when I heard this. Sent the prayer. They say there are no atheists in foxholes - I'd hope that ice fishermen are the same.

Jimmy, was he on the main lake or the campground cove? That's the only two places I know that have restrooms. Was he alone - other than God watching over him?

Many prayers are being sent for this gentleman and his family.

I often find myself saying a little prayer before I take that final step off the pier onto the ice, not only for myself but all those doing what we love to do. My prayers are with all of you, wishing you wellness and a safe dry return....(and lot's of big fish of course)
