Lake George is open from Long Island north to Montcalm Pt. The wind and rain opened it right up again.

That area was mostly open Saturday anyway so it couldn't have had more than an inch or two.  We should still be OK for the weekend on the places that had 5".

Unfortunately right now that wind is hauling.... Its chewing up large areas of ice. Be careful any where you go...

Thanks for the update.  Might have to do some driving around to get on.  Hopefully some of the bays and the south end can hold up.

I saw 2 guys out yesterday @ Sandy Bay/Kattskill Bay, they must have gotten on either off Cleverdale, or the marina in Warner Bay. We are headed out this morning to our laker grounds, Oh try getting on @ Hearthstone, it's protected from west winds, the shore might be good there. I hasve 16* here now so this cold might be enough to tighten this up enough.

Try Kattskill/ Sandy Bay near the Cleverdale shore. There is open water from north end of long island going @ angle to the west north. Wind was wicked yesterday/last night.

I wouldn't put all your eggs in the Hens and Chickens basket this weekend...  Not much ice there last weekend and the wind probably tore it apart during the warmup.
