I fished them in the spring off the shore. It takes a while to get the hang of reading them, but they work. If the wind is blowing in towards shore thats a good time to use them as they will sit your bait on the bottom or just off bottom and keep it there. They work best if the water is deep. The website is www.bigtentackle.com . Hope this helps. Smitty

Am I missing something, or is this simply a drop-shot rig with a slip bobber?

The only thing about this setup is you dont use a bobber stop. It sets up on the bottom and the bobber holds the bait up strait. It is definatly a drop shot rig tho. You can get the double hook rig too. Like i said, they work. Just hard to read till you get the hang of them. Oh yeah.... and they will snag if you drop it in a brushpile.

I must be missing something .Whats the point of having a bobber if your bait is on the bottom  :-\ .Why would you want to use a bobber when it's so much easier to set the hook with out one?  ???
