Finally got a Brown

We have been hitting a pond trying for a nice Brown since mid January and finally hit one today.  My buddy and his wife went out and we had a beautiful day.  We iced about 12 fish all together and the Brown hit and didn't trip the flag but we caught it on a bait check.  We actually had a lot of those today for some reason.  The Brown was 15 inches and had a big appetite since it had 5 pin smelts and 4 shiners in it counting the one that hooked it.  His wife is a good sport and althought its her first season on the ice really is getting into the sport and does all her own stuff.  She even pulls the sled.

Nice! Glad to hear she's getting into the fishing, my wife has just started getting into winter camping with us, she loves it.

Excellent gentlemen, fishing is always better as a family sport. @)
