dying shrimp with jello
« on: Jan 01, 2014, 10:49 AM »
I was told the trout at bouchie lake like pink shrimp
The only thing i had around to dye the shrimp was with jello
When i went to use the shrimp the fish liked the color but then they mouthed the shrimp they would spit it out everytime
Do they do this when you use the proper dye?
is there any thing i can add to make the trout eat the shrimp?

Thanks

Try scenting the bait a bit.  Lots of products out there that can be applied to the shrimp.  Sprays and gels

Red or pink jello? never met a fish who liked strawberry or watermelon flavour (haha). just the colour.  Sounds like you were luring them in just fine but they didn't like the smell or taste so they spit it out. I have had this happen before. lured the fish in just fine but they didnt like the taste. went to a worm for bait and that changed everything.. all kidding aside I hope my experience can help.

Cheers
well, you think it's any good over there?
