My GF & I are looking to head anywhere there is ice next week we have a week to wonder around. Are any of the smaller inland lakes in the UP with safe ice yet ?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've been told that people are walking out on Munuscong. I have tried one smaller inland lake in Chippewa Co. so far (on 12/23/21), and there was 7" of ice 150-200 yards from shore. That was before the rain/thaw, but it got cold again, so I'd think it's safe on many/most inland lakes. Coworker said he'd been on one of the Manistique Lakes and ice was good.
