fixing pop up (hub) shelters?
« on: Jan 04, 2014, 05:21 PM »
3 hubs on my frabil pop up have pulled through the fabric. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on repairing these. It's still usable, so I'd like to get some more life out of it.

I had the same problem with my Quick Fish 6.  I have had to fix all but two.  I just cut some squares of leather popped a new grommet in and 3M spray glued them on.  When I called Eskimo that is basically what they told me to do.  I was leery about gluing rather than sewing, but so far so good.  You buy a grommet kit at the hardware store for under $10.  The hardest part is getting the dang hubs and poles put back in place!!
