Lower Fire Lake
« on: Jan 02, 2017, 10:45 AM »
I live in Eagle river, my wife keeps giving me hell for always going to the valley to fish.  I have been trying Lower Fire for years now and can't seem to find where the fish hold up in there, any tips.

Don't listen to dube he's just wants to live in eagle river to.  I would probably keep driving to the valley, lower fire has been hit pretty hard and in my opinion not worth the time.  If you can get permission from a land owner to cross through their yard upper fire is a pretty good little rainbow lake.  I've fished it in the past unknowingly trespassing but had some pretty good action.  If your dead set on lower fire try the flat out in front of the inlet stream on the old Glenn side of the lake, I hear guys catch a few pike in that area.
I was born an Alaskan I just didn't live here at the time.

Start going to Lake Louise once and a month and valley trips will seem much quicker to her.

Thanks Hardwater, I think I have all but given up on Lower Fire.  I have used my flasher, camera, and have yet to find anything but stickle backs.
