Heavy heart
« on: Feb 13, 2019, 10:48 PM »
I write this with a heavy heart. A dear friend of mine and member to this wonderful group, doublehaul85, passed away this afternoon at the much too young age of 33. John unfortunately lost a 2 year grueling battle with colon cancer.

Tight lines brother!
Tight lines and good times

so very sorry for the loss of your friend. That is way too young...he should have had many more years on the ice.  At least you have your memories of the good times you two had. Take care.

To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

So tragic for anyone, but especially a young man in his prime. Very sorry for your loss. Do your best to honor his legacy and carry on the tradition. Keep doing those things you both loved to do together. He will be with you.

John was an avid outdoorsman and as he put it an equal opportunity line chucked. His preference hands down was fly fishing but was always just happy to be out.
This is from last year we were out at the sandbar and it was a very slow day we got hungry I had a burner but no pan to heat anything in rookie mistake. We came up with this!

Tight lines and good times
