Does anybody have any info or tips on fishing Wallum Lake in Douglas? Or possibly an ice report? Thinking of making the trip there tomorrow with my uncle. Never fished it.
just five more minutes!!! i swear there is one chasing that shiner right now!

I fish it alot..I use nightcrawlers about 2-3 ft under the ice..I fish shallow about 6ft at the most...I've had a great year there so far
a bad day of fishing....is better than a good day @ work

Any luck on wallum? I fished it once in the fall didnt do to well there. Always wondered about fishing through the ice though.

Jigged up about 40 perch today

Jigging nightcrawlers for perch? Any luck (or did you try) for salmon/trout using tip-ups?

I could be dead wrong, but I think the smelts are long gone. The states stocked alewives as a forage fish and they are doing quite well...

Fish Populations The following fish species were found during MassWildlife surveys: Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, Yellow perch, Pumpkinseed, Bluegill, Yellow Bullhead, Brown Bullhead, Landlocked Alewife, and Rainbow Smelt.  Trout are stocked  annually by MassWildlife in the spring and fall and by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management in spring.
