Congrats on the catch slayer. I put one of Tony's rods through the paces last week on a 26"er while jigging perch. Held up perfectly, spring bobber and all.

That one appears to be quite a bit bigger than that.

Nice fish Jamie, we met on south Bay about 3 years ago fishing crappies.  I was off crown yesterday, had lots of lookers, no bites no matter what I tried.  came in and caught 30+ perch before dark in a 2 hour timeframe.....Tight lines!  Barebow      :icefish:

First bit of excitement of the weekend came today.. Finally said screw it i'm not gonna catch a laker and ill go see if i can find any perch. Using a 1 inch swedish pimple, i began to jig, and after 5 minutes I get a nibble.  I'm glad to have finally caught anything... As i reel in  my dinker perch, a little drag goes out and i got a little twinkle in my eye and a     grin on my face .. I see through the ice about 20' down, this ain't a perch! It's a great lookin laker!  I loosened the drag since i'm on 4' test and faught him until i could get him into the hole.. his head was out of the god damn hole and i reached down to grab him by the gill and he thrashed, the line touched some frozen shards of ice and "Doit!" Gone. was exciting as I've never caught a laker before and hot diggity are then nice looking fish.

me, my dad and a buddy were on the lake by 5:30 am this morning and setup on our spot by 6:15. Within 5 minutes, my buddy hooks into a nice laker in 65' of water and it gets off just under the hole.

We could only fish until 11:30am because we both had to be home by 1 to watch our son's, but we worked hard today, and covered alot of depth and I ended up with one laker about 15" in 120' feet of water.

we covered all the ledges from 50' out to 150' and the water column in between. Didnt mark very many fish at all today. Definitely struggling this year compared to last year. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Marked very few fish till the pressure dropped couldnt get them to bite.  Got skunked after being lulled to sleep by that damned fish finder

Busy day today, didn't mark a lot of fish but the ones they did were pretty aggressive. First time ice fishermen. Here's some of the better ones, all caught jigging.

I'm also wondering if Salmon still exist in George??

I would guess DEC cares more about "clean" salt than stocking programs.  The green salt doesn't work!!   It will be better for LG though we hope/.
