salt under runners

has anyone ever used salt under their shanty runners to stop freeze up so the shack can be moved.just thought it would be a good idea.

only move my shack 3 times on to the trailer off the trailer on  ice  then back on to go home  lol  too much work moving them around  pain in the butt tuning in the satalight dish too often
