Anyone catching any perch or walleye? Was thinking about taking a trip up in 2 weeks. Is it safe for quads yet?

A report on another web site today said the sheriff dept issued a warning about the ice around one pressure crack. It said the crack opened up and ice near it may only be 1/2 inch thick. I don't what area of the lake this crack is in

We had 10" of ice yesterday, fishing between shore and pressure crack, off Lymans.  Made a lot of ice yesterday!

12"-18" of good ice as of today. One pressure crack to be aware of.

What's a good place to start for perch and walleyes...not looking for your best hole.  Just a starting point.  And maby depth?

They showed it on the news tonight and said it is about 2 miles long. It has really opened up wide in some sports. Be careful

Headed to Houghton in the morning. Any recent updates on the ice? Lyman's said it was 10-14" when I called today.

I talked to a friend that was fishing there today and said where he was at there was 9 to 10 inches. Wear cleats as it is slippery. Good luck

Thanks Scout. Planning on taking my Argo so I should have no problem there. My boots have sheet metal screws in the treads so I always have my cleats on.

Fished Houghton Lake today. Ice was 14" everywhere we tried. A long pressure crack is on the south and west side of the lake, crossable and the fishing was good. Caught a lot of blue gill and a few perch. Not a single taker on our tip ups.

On the road toward home from Houghton Lake as we speak.   The ice is fine.   As others have said.... Beware the pressure crack...... Can't miss it!   There were several nice walleye caught during the tip-up Town ice fishing contest.   I would post a pic but not sure how to from my phone.
