Starting a new thread for the guys who want to get together in the NE corner of the state. I would like to try and make it to the Maxi get together also Crappieslayer, I'm not sure if we could arrange it for another date/time. The good news is I believe there is plenty of parking and fish at GSP. I'm willing to bring a grill and some food. I think it would be good to meet in the parking lot for lunch and then fish the afternoon/evening bite. We've been doing much better on the fish in the evening there.

Just my thoughts, if that Saturday morning works best for folks then I'm up for that too. I do know other locals have expressed interest in going to the Maxi event on the same day.

Never fished Sylvan, but I might be up for this depending on the date. Which Saturday are you talking about.

Crappieslayer37 had proposed Feb 28th, but that is also the date of the get together on Maxi. Some local guys were hoping to make it over there. I thought it might be good to do a different day.

I'd say pick a day and those who can come can come. If I can come I'd be willing to bring a cooler with waters and some pop.

The other reason I was thinking the afternoon would work better if that the parking lot is full most of the time on weekends first thing in the morning. At least it was last Saturday.

As long as i am in town, im going to hit the maxi shin-dig.. if the N.E. guys have it on another day i will be sure to join, all depending on an out of town trip.

I'm proposing that Sunday March 1 preferably the morning but that's negotiable between all of us. I've seen more trucks in the parking lot towards the afternoon more than when I've gotten there the times that I've went. I was thinking about may be a chili cook and do it right out on the ice if someone has a means to do that. Ill provide some of the necessities toward it!!! Chime in fellas on your thoughts!!#

There was a big ice fishing tourney last saturday, thats why parking lot was full.

I can make Sunday morning work. I didn't even think about chili, good idea CS! I have a propane cooker and a large stock pot that would work. Might need two depending on the turn out.

Man, no one told me about the big tourney. I had several friends out there that didn't seem to know either.

I would be up for meeting some of you guys. I fish Sylvan a bunch in the summer months only been on it once last week had 26 gills Bradys landing been packed. had to sort some.

I will bring something to eat if needed.

We haven't established a time yet. As I suggested earlier, I personally would like to be on the ice at daybreak. Any problems with say meeting up 6:30 be on the ice by 7?

So as of now the plan is morning of on Sunday 3/1? Hell, I'd be up for next Saturday! Sunday's are rough for me, coming home to clean all those fish AND getting to bed early for work the next day, what an ordeal!!! I do like the direction this is going though and I'm in for whatever. I've got plenty of venison for chili!!! 2 weeks ago there was enough ice to travel the lake on a sled or quad and do some real exploration. That's when i got this guy!

I have a pretty productive spot that I've done well at this year. Its only about a two minute jaunt from the access point at Gsp.

I'm sure there would be some interested in this. All ideas are encouraged to bring them forward.
