Felix
« on: Jan 17, 2015, 09:59 AM »
Many of you knew and have fished with a great friend of mine, Felix Duron.  Please keep his family in your thoughts and maybe say a little prayer the next time you are on the ice.  Felix passed away last evening at his home.

You will be missed brother.
I used to get excited about a 20 inch bass until I caught my first 40 inch dolphin.

I still cant believe it is true.  I am so choked up.  Felix was such a great person, well beyond the angling community.  I lost a damn good friend.

Felix, you will be missed.  RIP my brother.

I want to say something here because I know what it's like to lose someone close and dear.  I never met Felix but from the responses on here, I wish I had.  He sounds like a really good guy to have known and fished with.  God be with his family.  Not a good time of year because of the weather and all.  Felix, I hope you're catching 14 inch bluegills, 18 inch crappies, and 16 inch perch up There buddy.  Bless you man.

Unreal....I just met him for the first time about a week ago at the slough. Seemed like a pretty nice guy and appeared to be dedicated to the sport of fishing. R.I.P ....

Stunned and saddened. So many good memories of Felix. We were together on Thursday working details for the upcoming Derby. Always a team player and leader with grace. He loved his family, his Lord and his fishing and hunting. We lost a big one here. May God carry his wife and children during this time. My first memory of meeting Felix was at a Tuesday league that he brought his daughter too. Always a smile a strong handshake. Fished with him at the Slough last Sat and got separated from the guys at one point  found he and High Flags because I hear Felix's laugh. Boy I'll miss him. God's grace to you my friend.

Prays sent to his family. For those of you who never had the chance to meet him you missed out. He was one of the best guys I have ever had the privilege to know. He would help out anyone anytime. I am glad to have gotten a trip in with him this year. He will be greatly missed. The good Lord must have needed someone to run his derby's in the wonderful lakes in the sky. I will sink one of my favorite jigs for him tomorrow so he can catch some giants on it
