Finally got my gear together drug RiverScum out for the night to get into some silver specs and some devil's juice on the ice. Got set up on a favorite clump of ole x-mas trees in 22 f.o.w. at about 6 pm. Did not take long to find them. By 9:30 we used the 3 dozen minnows and had our limit of 50 crappie. Was a good first night out. This is my mess I brought home.

Well went back out the next day 1/12 during the early morning and found some huge sunken logs with killer branches on them with the aqua view not far from my tree patch. Not so good bite with minnows, but they loved my lil blood worm (red or green)

looking forward to my next 2 days off...

my take from the trips.

i played with the bricker bugs, i got at PTO, a bit too. caught 3 lost 3. they work but are too small to hold crappie good. imo i also used the fly to get tip-up bait. little gills thumped them good and didnt even take 5min. to get pike bait. no bait tip just the fly jigged in small hops.

wow are my arms tired! from waxing 3 aces last night!

it was painful to administer such a beating but it couldnt be stopped. lmao

here is my sacked limit of frosty PM crappie

for some reason most of the fish came from my holes. its fun but i should stop poking fun(for now!) lol i wish i could tell the entire story on here, but its just too brutal.

I just want to forget about last night...I can say I have a nice shiny @#$ from the "waxing" I and 3 others received from RiverScum. I fought tooth & nail and struggled but I did manage to ice 13.

got out again last night. this is the part of the thread where the bite goes to hell. lol polecat didnt miss a thing last night being at work. got jack slapped down by those specs. buddies girlfriend waxed everyone with about 30 small gills, with her spikes. thats fishin

Met RiverScum & buddy on the ice last night to get a bag full of specs... located fish but nobody was hungry. A lot of lookers, could raise them up 5 ft but just not interested. Bite was very slooooow. Stayed out late in hopes the bite would pick up, but it never happened. Fished from 6pm to about 2:30am walked off ice with 18 3 of them from RiverScum.
