crappie

i got some crappie last night  and when i was cleaning them some of them had eggs in them    just thought it was little early but i know perch do    just wondering

I fish for Crappie all winter and they always have eggs in them. The females do anyway! ;D ;D

Yep ^^^^^^  takes a long time for them to develop the egg sacks for the spring fling.  Gills seem to have a much shorter 'cycle' as I don't recall catching many gills with any eggs in them during the winter...but then again, I don't look either.
