Can't seem to locate pretty lake on my map , how about some directions to the lake please.
The lake has some nice fish but can be a challenge. Lots of deep clear water. Used to be planted with trout. Now planted with walleye. Bring some tip ups to set while you're jigging for panfish, as the lake not only has eyes it has some big northern pike. I mounted a 41 inch northern for the lake association years ago. Best bite for walleyes is first light and dusk. Also yellow perch, bluegills, some natural bluegill/redear hybrids, and crappies. I've found decent yellow perch just off the bottom in about 30 fow. They move a lot though. One favorite spot for gills is a hump on the east side known as Jobe's Hole. The key is finding some weeds or structure in this lake. Ice permitting there used to be an ice fishing tournament every year with cash prizes. Been a few years since I've been up there so I don't know if they still do it. I may make the trip if the ice is good. Look forward to meeting you all.
Thanks curt my map has long lake on it , so if i get that far i should see signs ,i would think.
Thanks TaxiI guess I should have though of putting something like this up earler . But I think you said it better than I could of . They have not had a turny in a long time .
Never been to one of these do I need to bring anything besides fishing gear?
just bring what ever you need to fish . You will also want some money for food/drink when we go to the restaurant to eat .
