I have been in a construction related field for 12 years now. I work for a building components manufacturer. We design and build roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, and I-joist floor systems. I have experience in design, sales, and production. We are primarily residential and light commercial. We ship to 2/3 of the state of Indiana.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I tried to get into the ironworkers twice but didn't make it. I went to Hobart for welding also so I thought that would help but it didn't. I did however get into Plumbers & Steamfitters local 166. I am a firm believer that
every thing happens for a reason. I'm happy where I'm at but but have alot of respect for ironworkers
and other tradesmen.

Jigginstick how long you got 'till you give it up ? maybe 7 more.  We take a 3% hit per year on our pension before age 62, so as long as I can put up with the apprentices I will hang on.

25 years in Local 150 Operating Engineers. The only water my boat has seen this year has been the rain drops hitting the cover. I'm glad I'm working but it's been a long season, looking forward to some hard water action soon! My son is a second year member of Local 103 Operators.

Wireless communication construction for almost 14 years now and haven't had a major slowdown since I started including the winters. We service, erect and install telecommunication sites (tv/radio/cell phone sites) and range in heights from 50 to 2000 feet high.
